Learn how to add important places to a vault.
What is a place?
Prisidio offers a few different examples for places to help you get started. They can be a physical location, like a home or a safe deposit box; places can be any online account, such as your bank or email accounts; or they can be an important digital device that you may have, like your smartphone or laptop. Depending on the type of place you add to a vault, there are several key details that you can store.
How do I add places to the vault?
From the Dashboard, navigate to the Places tab. Select the + Add button in the bottom right corner of the screen to open a modal. Enter a name for your place and any other appropriate details into the text boxes. When finished, select the Save button. From the mobile app, when you select the + button you will have the option of capturing a picture of your place or adding from a saved image on your device. Your place will now appear in the vault.
How do I add a picture of a place?
While using Prisidio on the web, add an image of your place by choosing the icon on the main image above the name of your place. A modal window will allow you to select the appropriate image file of your place. Once selected, choose Open. The image you selected should now appear for your place.
How do I remove the picture of a place?
To remove the image of a place, choose the icon on the main image above the name and type of place. Choose Remove Photo near the bottom of the screen and a message will confirm that the image has been removed.
Where do I change the details of a place?
Select the place you wish to change the details for. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, choose the Edit Details button. On your mobile device, this is a blue button of a pencil. The modal will allow you to change any of the details of your place. When finished, choose Save.
How do I add related items?
From the item card of your place, navigate to the Related Items section. Choose the + Add Related Item link to view the sections of the vault. Select Related Documents, Related People, Related Places, or Related Things to view the vault items from that particular section. Connect the place to the other items in the vault by selecting the radio button for each item. When finished, choose Save or Cancel to discard selections.
Can I remove a place?
Yes, as with documents, people, or things, you can remove a place from the vault. If you are viewing your places in list view, select the 3-dot symbol for the place you wish to remove. Select Delete near the bottom of the screen. Your place should no longer be in the vault.
